Students applying to AIHM’s Bachelor of Business Administration in Global Hospitality Management programme must meet the following requirements.

Minimum age

17.5 years minimum at entry date


  • A high-school diploma certified by the Ministry of Education
  • Thailand applicants : completion of matthayom 6 required
  • UK applicants : minimum of two, full A-levels (GCEs) studied and passed after a successful completion of at least six IGCSE-level (O-level) or equivalent
  • US applicants : high-school diploma and IB diploma
  • GED applicants : minimum 145 points in all four areas

All documents must be translated into English.

Admission assessment
The admission assessment includes successful completion of a personal statement followed by an interview with a faculty member.

Minimum English-language entry requirements
Non-native English speakers, or students who haven’t spent the last three years in full-time English education, will need to submit their English-language exam scores.

TOEFL : 525/70 or above

IELTS : 5.5 average
IELTS has four subcomponents (Writing, Reading, Speaking, Listening). Each subcomponent can be 0.5 less than the required average score, but not lower.

Cambridge FCE/CAE : ฺB2 First or above

The application fee is THB 3,000. Online applicants may submit proof of payment via the online application form. Offline applicants must email their proof of payment to, or send it by mail to AIHM’s Bangkok Campus.

Should your visa application to Thailand be refused, we will make every effort to support your re-application. If this is unsuccessful, we will issue a full refund of semester 1 fees after receiving a copy of your rejection letter from the Thai embassy. Refund does not include the THB 3,000 application fee.

Student visa application

If you are an international student, you will need to apply for a Non-Immigrant Visa ‘ED’ (Education) to live and study in Thailand.

After receiving the official acceptance and visa letter from AIHM’s Student Exchange Office, you should apply for a Non-Immigrant Visa ‘ED’ (Education) at the nearest Royal Thai Embassy or consulate in your country of origin.

How long does the admissions process take?

For international students who have sent completed application files and receipts of all required documents, it will take around two or three weeks to process the application and to send over a letter of acceptance via email. You will then be required to make a non-refundable payment for the first semester before your visa supporting documents are granted.
